I’m sure every reader of this newsletter has at least heard of Greta Gerwig’s latest film, Barbie, starring Margot Robbie as the titular doll and Ryan Gosling as her companion Ken. I have pretty mixed (to negative) feelings on the film, which is a bummer because I love pink and I respect the heck out of Robie (I will say she and Gosling give go-for-broke committed performances). However, I have read some great writing on the film, so I am going to use this space to share that.
