22-year-old Mays hopes to attend university in Sweden in Camilla Magid and Mahasen Nasser-Eldin’s short documentary From Palestine With Love

Camilla Magid and Mahasen Nasser-Eldin’s short documentary From Palestine With Love follows a young woman named Mays who lives in occupied Palestine and works at the Palestinian Circus School. She hopes to join her boyfriend Caspar in Sweden and continue her schooling at the University of Stockholm, but finds resistance from her family and gets caught in a bureaucratic feedback loop due to her status as a Palestinian. We get glimpses of Mays life and work, as well as conversations with her boyfriend over video messaging. You can watch this bittersweet doc on Doc Alliance’s website or rent it on Vimeo.
